Working cross-functionally alongside System Engineers, Component Engineers and external suppliers, you’ll ensure everything that’s produced aligns with functional safety processes and requirements. This will mean a ‘safe’ product is always delivered, according to our vehicle development schedule.

As part of this role, you will work with suppliers and hardware/software developers to design ISO 26262 compliant systems. You will perform system hazard and risk analysis, definition of safety goals, functional safety requirements, technical safety requirements and hardware and software safety requirements.

Candidates will be required to work with safety and failure analysis and document analysis requirements and results. You will need to work in an open, transparent and collaborative manner, sharing good practice and seeking to continuously improve the quality of outputs.

Working within our mapping and localisation team as a Software Engineer, you’ll develop new techniques for utilising high-definition maps as part of a fused perception system. These will be embedded in the autonomous driving systems that we’re creating for future Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.

In this role, you’ll extract map data to produce horizon data streams for the autonomous software stack. You’ll also work with map providers and other standards organisations, to identify and integrate different autonomous driving components into one system. It’s a broad and wide-reaching role, which will give you exposure to a variety of different engineering disciplines and projects.

Working within our path and motion planning team as a Autonomous Controls Engineer, you’ll architect and contribute to a system that will process input from a variety of different vehicle sensors. This will involve evaluating possible vehicle strategies and trajectories, and automating the safe control of the vehicle. 

Taking a practical, hands-on approach, you’ll conceptualise, prototype, test and launch cutting-edge autonomous driving features. With a passion for product excellence and quality, you’ll be an integral part of a highly capable team, who you’ll collaborate with to ensure a smooth, robust implementation. 

As a Perception Engineer, you’ll be the person that develops the advanced computer vehicle vision capabilities that will be embedded into future Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.

In this role, you’ll provide expert knowledge and strong leadership as we develop our object detection and classification capabilities. Your role will developing image labelling and annotation capabilities  for training; vision aided navigation; online and offline camera calibration; object tracking and data association. With a deep understanding of automotive camera sensor techniques, interfaces and data formats, you’ll also generate and track key performance indicators and develop regression testing infrastructure. 

In your role as a Software Engineer, you’ll be the person that researches, designs, develops and delivers automated driving software components. While you’ll be comfortable working across a range of technologies, you’ll be focused on one or more discipline in particular, including real-time operating systems, robotics middleware systems, perception and object detection, sensor fusion, localisation and mapping systems, or path planning.

You’ll work in an open, collaborative manner to document, organise and disseminate information, outcomes and insights. Because of the work you do, we’ll be able to build state of the art automated driving algorithms and techniques, and continuously improve the quality of our outputs.

In your role as a Software Engineer, you’ll be the person that researches, designs, develops and delivers automated driving cloud infrastructure. You’ll help create services and data processing pipelines that will be an integral part of deployed vehicles. You will develop the cloud infrastructure for autonomous driving systems and develop data management systems for large volumes of vehicular data. You will create a platform for continuous machine learning/training and acquired data sets and deployment to the vehicles as part of sophisticated data campaigns.

Working as a Software Engineer in an open, collaborative team, you’ll research, design, develop and deliver state of the art machine learning solutions. You’ll process data in a number of formats, from a variety of sources – before verifying its integrity and applying feature engineering techniques. You’ll also ensure the high performance of the machine learning solution, by conducting experiments; creating prototype models; and harnessing validation and hyper-parameter tuning. Because of what you do, we’ll be able deliver robust driver assistance features that can be deployed on a large scale around the world.

Working in an open, collaborative manner as a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the implementation of our model-based control strategies. This will include developing and demonstrating new concepts and systems through desktop simulations and concept vehicles; and updating and improving existing systems and architectures, as required. You’ll also take the lead with requirements analysis and decomposition; control strategy design; and the development and execution of validation processes and associated simulations.

This role involves leading a range of UX/UI Advanced Engineering projects to address a wide range of Automated Driving user challenges such as Trust, Motion Sickness, Transfer of Control, Addressing, Mode Confusion, Ad Seating, AD Steering, Vehicle Motion Control (VMC), etc. This role also involves creating a range of innovative UX/UI engineering solutions to develop and deliver a holistic Automated Driving User Experience and Interface. This will involve developing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) with strategic partners. The team is required to follow a Human Centred Design (HCD) and Systems Engineering approach to shape the User Interface for Automated Driving, responsibilities will include working at both ends of the Systems “V” starting with establishing Customer Needs, Use Cases and Requirements, further down the process responsibilities also include User Interface Test and Validation work. This role is UK based and you will be expected to establish regular communications with your working colleagues in both the US and China. It is essential that all work is data driven using world class intelligence and user experiments.

This role involves taking a Human Centred Design (HCD) and Systems Engineering approach to shape the User Experience for Automated Driving, responsibilities will include working at both ends of the Systems “V” starting with establishing Customer Needs, Use Cases and Requirements, further down the process responsibilities also include User Experience Test and Validation work.
